BANDIPORA: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora on Friday observed World Health Day by organising an awareness programme titled, “Health for All”.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Health Department Bandipora under the Chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Bandipora Amit Sharma who is also Chairman District Legal Services Authority.
Secretary DLSA Bandipora Nusrat Ali Hakak CMO Bandipora, Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Salathi, Principal AMT School Bandipora Dr. Asif Khan, District Epidemiologist Dr. Nabeel Ishtiyaq, staff members of DLSA Bandipora, FMPHW, Asha Workers, Students, PLVs and other officials of AMT school were also present on the occasion.
The programme was aimed at creating awareness among the general public to raise awareness about people’s general health and wellbeing around the world.
The introductory address was delivered by CMO Bandipora and in his discourse, he apprised that people should associate with many health organisations to spread awareness and conduct massive campaigns disclosing the necessity of a healthy lifestyle.
On the occasion Dr. Nabeel Ishtaiq acted as resource person wherein he said that every year, World Health Day is observed to promote awareness about people’s general health and wellbeing around the world.
He highlighted that the day is seen as an opportunity to drive worldwide attention to a subject of major importance for global health each year and sensitized young minds of the importance of their physical and mental health.
Other speakers while addressing the gathering said that Health is essential for leading a happy life. It is undoubtedly the greatest wealth offered to us. No money or any other materialistic things on this planet are worthy enough to substitute the worth of health, they said.
A healthy human body is the main source of all happiness. People should accept it as the greatest boon and should never exploit it, said the speakers.
