REASI: A workshop on good governance practices was conducted in District Reasi today under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.

The event aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of governance principles among district officials. The workshop was chaired by DC while Nirmal Sharma, (Retd.) IAS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the session with a welcome address, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to enhance governance.

The Chief Guest highlighted the key pillars of good governance, including transparency, accountability, efficiency, and responsiveness. She urged the participants to prioritize these principles in their daily administrative practices, ensuring better service delivery to the public. Mrs. Sharma also underscored the significance of incorporating these practices to address challenges in the working field effectively.

During the workshop, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged all officers to actively adopt good governance practices and optimize the available resources for public welfare. Notable governance initiatives from the district were discussed, including programs under JKNRLM and the Social Welfare Department.

The workshop concluded with a shared commitment among officials to uphold governance standards and deliver impactful results for the people of Reasi.

The workshop was attended by ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, GM DIC Mohammad Anwar Banday, ACR Anshumali Sharma and all district/sectoral officers.
