Weekly Block Diwas: DC Rajouri addresses Public Concerns at Block Qila Darhal

RAJOURI: As part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a public outreach camp at Block Qila Darhal to redress the people’s issues at their doorsteps.

During the event, a wide range of concerns were raised by the local residents seeking renovation of roads, staffing and upgrading of government institutions, augmentation of water supply, healthcare infrastructure   and the construction of motorable bridges.

Several specific issues were highlighted, such as  opening of a JK Bank branch, blacktopping of road leading to Qila Darhal fort, timely payment of installments to PMAY and AWAS plus beneficiaries, release of pending payment under MGNREGA, New building for PHC Qila Darhal etc.

Other issues included sanctioning a Girl High School at Lam, Animal Husbandry centre, renovation of Lam to Pukharni road, construction of road from Lam to Daronigalla, adequate staff in educational institutions, construction of boundary wall at GMS Dwata, renovation of PS Kass building etc.

The event also provided an opportunity to the government officers to inform the public about various schemes and programs being implemented by their respective departments. Attendees were encouraged to take advantage of these initiatives for their own betterment.

  Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat assured the public that all their concerns had been meticulously documented and that each genuine issue would be addressed through the intervention of the respective departments in a phased and time-bound manner.

In a spirit of collaboration, the Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of all stakeholders who have played a vital role in achieving the objectives of government initiatives. He fervently encouraged them to persist in their hard work for the greater good of the common masses.

During the public outreach camp, the Deputy Commissioner assured that the paramount focus of the Government is ensuring all essential facilities reach the doorstep of the general public. He assured attendees that the most robust measures are actively being pursued to achieve this ambitious goal.

The Deputy Commissioner also issued on the spot directives to the concerned departments to prioritize and resolve the issues flagged by the public. Remarkably, several issues found resolution right there with the prompt intervention of the dedicated departments.

Regarding the ongoing developmental projects, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri took a hands-on approach, directing officers to expedite progress and ensure timely completion. Recognizing the pivotal role these projects play in the growth of the region, he stressed the significance of efficient execution to bring tangible improvements to the community.

He meticulously detailed a comprehensive set of measures geared towards the advancement and progress of the border regions, underscoring a strategic and multifaceted approach to address the developmental needs of these areas. To enhance connectivity in remote border regions, the Deputy Commissioner has instructed concerned officers from PMGSY and PWD to promptly prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) and submit the same at the earliest.

He earnestly appealed to the public, emphasizing the importance of their support in collaboration with the administration to effectively combat the pervasive issue of drug abuse within the district. He informed the public about the array of online services offered by the government, encouraging them to leverage these digital resources for their benefit.

At the Block Diwas event, the Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat issued a pivotal directive for seamless collaboration among the concerned departments. Emphasizing the imperative of swift resolution, the Deputy Commissioner called for a united effort to eliminate bottlenecks hindering the timely execution of developmental projects.
