Vigilance Awareness program held at Town Hall Pulwama

PULWAMA: In observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, a significant awareness program was held today at Town Hall Pulwama.

The programme was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, Zaffar Ahmad Shawl, who highlighted the collective efforts of the community and the authorities in building a corruption-free society. He also deliberated on the role of awareness in fostering a culture of integrity.

He highlighted the significance of vigilance in public administration. He also shed light on the impact of corruption on society and the economy, as well as the legal framework and mechanisms in place to address corruption.

SP, ACB, South Kashmir, Dr. Ashok Sharma emphasized the importance of community involvement in vigilance activities and encouraged the public to report any instances of corruption through appropriate channels.

During the programme, participants engaged in discussions about the role of technology in preventing corruption and shared best practices for promoting ethical behaviour in various sectors.

The event marked the Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption and brought together numerous stakeholders.

The event culminated with the administration and participants taking the Integrity Pledge, reaffirming their dedication to upholding ethical standards and ensuring a corruption-free environment.

Among others, the programme was attended by Chief Prosecutor Officers Farooq Ahmad and District Officers of various departments.
