BUDGAM: A daylong valediction ceremony for Skill Development training programme of “Tourist and Travel Guide” was held by JKB RSETI Budgam in collaboration with District Administration Budgam and Doodhpathri Development Authority (DDA), at TRC Tangnar.
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer, (CEO), DDA, Suraya Nargis Tak along with Director JKB RSETI Budgam Rukhsan ul Nisa felicitated 35 youth of Doodhpathri area for successfully completing the training programme on ‘Tourist and Travel Guide’.
The CEO and Director also distributed certificates among the youth with an aim to help them in the tourism sector as travel and tourist guides.
The CEO while congratulating the youth urged them to work honestly and ensure best use of the training while performing efficiently in the field.
She said that she is hopeful that the training of these youth will not only help to tackle the unemployment in the area but also give a boost to local tourist places promotion.

SDM Karnah reviews arrangements for celebration of I-Day
KUPWARA, AUGUST 02: In connection with celebration of Independence Day 2022 in the border subdivision Karnah, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparations.
The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding various arrangements for smooth celebration of the Independence Day at Mini secretariat Tangdar.
On the occasion, the SDM took a detailed review of the arrangements including seating arrangements, Public Address system, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, Medicare, Ambulance, cleanliness and sanitation and other required arrangements to be made at the venue. All the officers were sensitized about their role and responsibilities.
The SDM directed the concerned to ensure that all arrangements are made well in advance for celebration of the Independence Day. He asked the R&B department to prepare the stage and make preparations for flag hoisting.
The SDM also reviewed the progress of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and directed the concerned officers for implementation of the campaign at grassroots level.
