NEW DELHI: Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Monday morning, causing traffic snarls and waterlogging.

The rain, however, brought respite from the heat and humidity.

Visuals from North Avenue in Delhi showed rain drizzling.

Meanwhile, waterlogging was reported at Civil Lines.

Janpath in the National Capital also witnessed rain.

The IMD has predicted that light rain would continue in Delhi and Noida till July 17.

Due to rain, the water levels in the Yamuna River are expected to rise in the coming days, prompting authorities to issue an alert to residents of Noida villages situated along the banks of the river.

These villages experienced severe flooding during last year’s monsoon season, causing significant inconvenience to residents of both Delhi and Noida.
