ANANTNAG: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag SF. Hamid today launched a two-week Swachhata Pakhwada campaign to enhance cleanliness and environmental sustainability in the district.
The campaign will feature a series of activities and workshops focused on waste management and promoting eco-friendly practices.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the essential role of community involvement in maintaining a clean environment and called on residents to minimize their use of polythene products. He later administered the Swacchta oath to participants and also flagged off IEC vans to disseminate the message of swacchta at the last mile.
The campaign in Anantnag is being organized by District Administration in collaboration with the Rural Development Department and the Municipal Councils.
