SRINAGAR: Ahead of Hajj 2023, the authorities at Srinagar International Airport have made special arrangements for prayers and designated the space for wearing Ahram – the white clothing worn by Hajj pilgrims.

Director Srinagar International Airport Kuldeep Singh Rishi told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a specified area has been marked for the Hajj pilgrims – both males and females – for changing Ahram and offering prayers.

This has been done for the convenience of Hajj pilgrims, he said.

Earlier, the Director in a tweet said a special area at the airport has been designated for the convenience of pilgrims for changing into Ahram.

“Special area has been designated at our airport for the convenience of pilgrims going on Haj. You can change into Ahram in this designated area in the SHA just before boarding the flight,” Singh tweeted.

According to the officials, the first flight of Hajj-2023 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir would leave for Jeddah International Airport on Wednesday, June 7.
