SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner assigned specific responsibilities to each department, emphasizing the need for meticulous planning to ensure the event’s smooth and successful execution.
The importance of on-spot inspections by officials was stressed to ensure all preparations are completed in time. The DC also underscored the necessity of conducting proper rehearsals to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated event.
He highlighted the significance of Republic Day as a community celebration, urging all stakeholders to participate with enthusiasm and patriotism.
Special attention was directed towards ensuring the well-being and comfort of students participating in cultural programs and other activities. The Chief Medical Officer was instructed to ensure adequate medical facilities are in place to address any emergencies during the event.
The meeting was attended by SSP Virender Singh Manhas, ADC Samba Jagdish Singh, ACR Samba, PO ICDS, SDMs, XENs, and other district officers, along with representatives from various departments.
