DC pushes for funding public welfare projects

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan on Monday chaired a meeting to deliberate on proposals projected for funding under Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY), also known as the District Mineral foundation trust. I

The meeting aimed to prioritise the fund allocation under PMKKKY for projects that would benefit the maximum number of people of the District.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the proposals moved for different sectors like education, plantations and discussed their potential benefits for people welfare .He also gave nod to some proposals like plantations of trees, welfare of Safai workers etc.

 The Deputy Commissioner emphasized on transparent and efficient allocation of funds under the PMKKKY. He directed the departments to promptly submit demands with approximate cost estimation, to facilitate the decision-making process.

Additionally, the DC added that the proposals will be subjected to thorough scrutiny and evaluation to determine their feasibility and alignment with the overarching goals of the PMKKKY.


The meeting was attended by CPO Reasi Narinder Kumar, ACD Pardeep Kumar, DFO Sunil Manhas, XENs of various departments, District Mineral Officer, Reasi and others.
