UDHAMPUR: The Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Udhampur organized a one-day workshop cum training programme on the Awaas Plus 2.0 survey here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai presided as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the workshop. The event was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, Block Development Officers and other officers and field functionaries of RDD who are deputed as surveyors in all 236 Panchayats of District Udhampur.
At the outset, ACD Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal outlined the major objective of the training programme. He emphasized that the training was organized to equip the registered surveyors with the knowledge and skills required to conduct the survey using the Awaas Plus Mobile Application, ensuring Aadhaar-authenticated surveys. He apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the Awaas Plus 2.0 survey is a critical component for the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, aiming to identify and include all the eligible households for housing benefits under the scheme.
During the training program, Master trainers imparted detailed training to the participants, emphasising the importance of Aadhaar authentication and adherence to SOPs and exclusion processes.
While addressing the workshop, Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the importance of conducting fair, transparent and error-free surveys in strict adherence to the MoRD guidelines and SOPs. She directed the surveyors to adhere to the prescribed timelines and ensure the inclusion of all eligible households while maintaining accuracy and diligence in their work.
The training concluded with a questionnaire session where detailed healthy discussions were done and doubts were cleared thereby ensuring positive outcomes.
