KULGAM: The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Kulgam today observed Awass Devas and organised functions in all eleven Blocks of Kulgam district.
The main programme was held at BHQ Kulgam. The programme was presided over by ADDC Kulgam Showkat Ahmad Rather and scores of Awaas benificiaries also participated in the programme.
During the programme ACD Kulgam Mohammad Irman Khan highlighted the aim of the Pradhan Mantri Awass Yojna Devas and also highlighted achievements and progress made under PMAY-G through Rural Development Department. He said that around 1600 units of PMAY-G for houseless beneficiaries have been completed in the district and more than 900 houses are under progress.
Later, ADDC kulgam said that the main aim of the Awaas Devas is that no deserving beneficiary should remain uncovered.
