NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for winning the Digital Transformation Award 2025 from Central Banking, London, highlighting the role of digital innovation in strengthening India’s financial ecosystem.

Taking to X, Modi said a commendable accomplishment, reflecting an emphasis towards innovation and efficiency in governance. “Digital innovation continues to strengthen India’s financial ecosystem, thus empowering countless lives,” he tweeted.

RBI was recognized for its Pravaah and Sarthi digital initiatives, developed by its in-house team. These initiatives have significantly reduced paper-based submissions, streamlining RBI’s internal and external processes.
