RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to discuss and approve the saturation plan under Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) Phase -II for the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; CPO, Kasturi Lal; ACD, Ashok Singh; ACP, BDOs and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The saturation plan under SBM (G) Phase-II was unanimously approved for the year 2022-23.
While reviewing the implementation of PMAY (G), the Deputy Commissioner directed all BDOs to conduct speedy Gram Sabhas for verification and registration of beneficiaries so that sanction can be made before 30th of June.
The meeting also discussed the ways for generating OSR to make the panchayats self-sufficient.
The SBM Phase II will help rural India to effectively handle the challenge of solid and liquid waste management and will help in substantial improvement in the health of the villagers.
Emphasizing on active involvement of people and PRI members in SBM activities, the Deputy Commissioner asked all BDOs to motivate and convince the rural population by sensitizing them about the significance of cleanliness. He emphasized that it is vital for sustenance of good health and prosperity of the people.
