Srinagar: A 48-year-old head constable with Government Railway Police (GRP) died after he was hit by a train between Awantipora and Panzgam railway station on Friday.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that head constable Mohammad Hussain Dar was hit by train and died on the spot.
The train had departure from Budgam at 16:24 hours towards Banihal Railway station at the time of the mishap.
A police official confirmed the death of the police head constable in the incident.
