Public outreach programme: DC Kulgam visits Behibagh, addresses public grievances

KULGAM: Continuing the efforts to bring governance to the doorsteps of the people, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today visited Behibagh, where he interacted with locals and listened to their grievances for early redressal.

The programme witnessed massive participation from residents of Hanjin, Behibagh, Dadarkoot, Nowpora, Mohammadpora, Shiganpora, and other adjoining villages.

Delegations from these areas put forth various demands before the chair. Several issues of immediate nature were redressed on the spot, while others were noted for further action as per feasibility and norms.

Addressing the gathering, DC reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the holistic development of all areas. He added that the primary objective of the outreach programme is to take governance at the doorsteps of the people.

The grievance redressal camp was attended by ACR, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers, Tehsildar, BDO, and other district officers.

Enroute, the DC also reviewed the progress on the Chawalgam Bridge and instructed the Engineers of executing agencies to scale up the pace of work to complete the bridge within days.
