 DC Udhampur assures locals of time bound remedy of projected issues

UDHAMPUR: As part of Weekly Block Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a public outreach program in Block Majalta, addressing numerous issues and demands raised by the local community.

Local DDC Councillor Amit Sharma, along with District Officers from across line departments, ex-PRI members and general public participated in the event.

Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, CEO MDA, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umesh Shan, and other senior officers attended the program.

The locals projected a range of demands and problems  seeking   provision of electric poles, installation of hand pumps, road maintenance, blacktopping, addressing low voltage issues, installation of transformers, meeting water scarcity, tree plantation, housing schemes, speedy completion of projects etc.

Responding to the demands, the DC issued on-the-spot directives to the concerned departments to address the grievances raised by ex-PRI members and the general public, emphasizing their resolution on priority. The DC assured the public of further outreach programs to tackle genuine issues directly.

The DC instructed officers to conduct awareness campaigns on government schemes and stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination for effective implementation. The community expressed gratitude to the DC for the initiative.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected ongoing developmental works in Mansar and urged executing agencies to expedite progress for timely completion.
