DODA: A detailed review meeting to assess the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works in District Doda was convened by Mission Director, JJM, J&K UT, Khursheed Ahmad Shah and District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh. The meeting focused on assessing the ongoing projects and addressing bottlenecks to ensure their timely completion.
At the outset, the Executive Engineer of PHE Division Doda provided a comprehensive update on the progress of the schemes. He informed that 118 out of 212 sanctioned schemes have been completed in the district so far. A detailed presentation highlighted the achievements and remaining challenges in achieving the mission’s objectives.
The Mission Director emphasized the need to expedite work on the pending schemes to achieve 100% “Har Ghar Jal” certification for all villages. He called on all stakeholders to work on a war footing to meet the set targets and ensure the seamless implementation of the program across the district.
The review meeting saw the participation of Chief Planning Officer Doda, Manesh Kumar Manhas; Superintending Engineer PHE (Mechanical), Bodhraj Bhagat; Consultant, Salim Malik; and officials from PHE Division Doda, including AEEs, AEs, JEs, and members of the Third Party Inspection Agency Team. The officials reiterated their commitment to completing the remaining works efficiently.
Key directives were issued to accelerate progress and ensure effective coordination among all departments involved. The authorities stressed the importance of timely execution to bring potable water to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
