Police Commemoration Day: ADC Handwara pays tributes to the police martyrs at DPL Handwara

KUPWARA: In order to pay tributes to the martyrs and commemorate their sacrifices, National Police Day popularly known as ‘Police Commemoration Day was observed today at  DPL Handwara. 

Police personnel who sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace, law and order in the society were remembered and rich tributes were paid to them.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Aziz Ahmed Rather commending the sacrifices of martyr police personnel said that their sacrifices would never go waste. He said, “Police personnel have sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace, law & order in the society. We must always remember them and stand with the families of the martyrs.”

Other dignitaries including Sr. Superintendent of police Handwara  Ifroaz Ahmad Mir, ASP Handwara, DYSP’s and officers from CRPF, ARMY  were present on the occasion who also paid tributes to the martyrs.

Later, ADC Handwara visited Kulangam bridge to inspect the ongoing work and instructed the concerned executing agency  to speed up the pace of work and make the bridge motorable at an earliest.
