SAMBA: District Administration Samba today gave away Nikshay Poshan Kits to 50 TB patients under the ambitious “100 Days of TB Elimination” campaign. The initiative, funded by the Indian Red Cross Society, was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, and the supervision of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatiyal.

Addressing the event, the DC underscored that TB is a fully curable disease if patients strictly follow their medication regimen and maintain a balanced diet. They also urged the public to discard societal taboos surrounding the disease, emphasizing the need for a supportive environment for TB patients.

The “100 Days of TB Elimination” campaign, launched in December 2024 by the Government of India, aims to accelerate progress toward making India TB-free by 2025, well ahead of the global target of 2030.

The District Administration Samba extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Red Cross Society for their generous contribution to this noble cause, further strengthening the fight against TB.
