NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today launched a scathing attack on former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing both of making false promises and failing to address critical issues affecting the nation.
Speaking at a massive rally in Seelampur, Delhi, ahead of the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections, Gandhi criticised Kejriwal for not living up to his promises and compared his actions to those of Modi.
“There is no difference between Modi and Kejriwal. Much like Modi, Kejriwal makes false promises. They both follow the same strategy,” Gandhi said, drawing a parallel between the two.
On inflation, Rahul Gandhi condemned the rising prices and the widening wealth gap, accusing Modi and Kejriwal of siding with corporate elites. “Inflation is at its peak. The poor are becoming poorer, and the rich are becoming richer. Ambani and Adani do marketing for Modi. Have you ever heard Modi or Kejriwal speak about Adani?” he questioned. “We don’t want a country of billionaires.”
