MP Jugal Kishore Sharma attends closing ceremony
JAMMU: Today marked the culmination of the 3-day mega exhibition, Gatisheel Jammu and Kashmir, with the presence of Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma at the closing ceremony.
Joining him on the panel were Pradeep Singh Chandel, Senior Scientist at DRDO TBRL Lab; P.S. Misra, Deputy Director General of Geological Survey of India (GSI); Mayak Kumar Tayagi, Director of Inland Waterways Authority of India; and Director of Prayass Events and Exhibitions, Meetu Paul. The exhibition’s primary objective was to enhance public awareness about various government schemes and policies.
The exhibition witnessed significant success with a large turnout of the general public, including school and college students, who gained valuable information about various government departments. This outcome perfectly aligned with the exhibition’s primary objective.
The visitors got the chance to explore potential career paths and educational opportunities across various fields, thereby enriching their knowledge and prospects for the future.
The prestigious Best Stall Trophies were awarded to notable organizations including the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Amul, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education – Himalayan Forest Research Institute (ICFRE-HFRI), Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Newspace India Limited (NSIL), Soil and Land Use Survey of India, National Dairy Development Board under the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Reserve Bank of India, and Geological Survey of India under the Ministry of Mines. Additionally, Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers Co-operative Limited (JKMPCL) and AMUL were also recognized for their outstanding stalls.

The exhibition aimed to establish an engaging platform for the residents of Jammu to interact with a diverse range of government departments and institutions.
Its objective was to provide valuable insights into welfare schemes and policies, benefiting attendees of all ages, including students.
