RAMBAN: The Department of Agriculture, Ramban, hosted the live streaming of the release of the 16th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The event was attended virtually by a multitude of stakeholders including government officials, elected representatives and farmers, underscoring the government’s unwavering commitment to bolster grassroots-level agriculture.
Among the dignitaries present were Councillor District Development Council, Ramban, Renuka Katoch, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak, Chief Agriculture Officer, Ram Gopal Sharma, AD Fisheries, Fayaz Ahmed, ASCO Ramban, Khalid Abdullah, SDAO, Kuldeep Kumar, Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) and Junior Agricultural Extension Officers (JAEOs). The enthusiastic participation of these stakeholders reflected the collective determination to support and uplift the farming community.
The DDC Councillor said that the farmers under PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana receive the release of Rs. 2000 each, marks another milestone in the government’s efforts to empower farmers and enhance agricultural productivity. This latest installment, benefiting 27049 farmers in the district, will serve to augment their incomes and stimulate further growth in the agriculture sector.
Farmers expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s advocacy of agro-based start-ups and pro-farmer initiatives, recognizing the pivotal role such measures play in advancing the interests of agricultural communities nationwide.
The live streaming event not only celebrated the tangible benefits of the PM-KISAN Scheme but also served as a platform for dialogue exchange, fostering a sense of solidarity and shared purpose among stakeholders dedicated to the welfare of farmers. About 80 members of PM-KISAN beneficiaries viewed the live telecast of PM’s message on the release of 16th installment at CAO Office Ramban.
