PULWAMA: The Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat today presided over an awareness camp organized by KVIB Pulwama at Town Hall Tral.
The awareness programme was attended by a large number of aspirants including women aspirants.
To educate participants, officers gave presentations about the modalities involved in implementation of employment generation programmes, PMEGP and JKREGP. They informed that all these schemes are available online and aspirant entrepreneurs can apply to avail financial assistance under these schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hina stated that J&K KVIB is working in a focused manner to ensure that the benefits of Employment Generation Schemes, PMEGP and JKREGP are percolated among the target population and enjoined upon the prospective entrepreneurs especially women to come forward and channelise their energy for Nation building by establishment of micro enterprises.
The Vice Chairperson informed that during the financial year 2022-23, Rs.7.99 crores has been released by J&K KVIB Pulwama for establishment of 364 units thereby creating employment opportunities for 2282 persons.
She added that during the last three years, Rs. 43.02 crores involving bank loans of Rs. 116.77 crores have been released in district Pulwama for establishment of 1686 units thereby envisaging employment opportunities for 12294 persons.
She lauded the role and efforts of KVIB as well as bankers in successful implementation of the scheme at grass-roots level of the district.
The Vice Chairperson assured that every kind of hand-holding support shall be extended to aspirant and prospective entrepreneurs to ensure hassle free processing of their proposals both at implementing agency as well as at bank level.
ADC Tral informed that there is potential for establishment of micro enterprises in the area and encouraged the participants to come forward and explore the possibility of establishing their own units. He applauded the role of JKKVIB in ensuring easy availability of loans to aspirants.
Speaking at the occasion, BDC Chairperson Dadasara Tral said that the youth especially women entrepreneurs should come forward and avail benefits of the scheme of KVIB to stand on their own legs to live a luxurious life by establishing self-employment units as the Government cannot provide employment to all.
The programme was attended by Sajid Yehaya Naqash, ADC Tral; BDC Chairperson, Dadasara, Tral, Awtar Singh; officers from District Administration/Banks, Senior Officers from Board, DDC Members/ PRIs, Social Activists and large number of aspirant entrepreneurs and educated unemployed youth of the area.
