Kishtwar: DLTFC approves 27 JK-REGP Cases

KISHTWAR: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) for the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JK REGP), implemented by the J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board, has approved 27 loan proposals to support local entrepreneurs in Kishtwar.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the ACD Phulail Singh.

The Committee meticulously scrutinized applications for seeking  loans for kiryana shops, commercial vehicles, and other business units and  approved 27 proposals.

The total approved loan amount is approximately Rs 2.12 crore  (21,250,000) , with a subsidy of Rs 74.37 lakh (7,437,500) to be provided to the beneficiaries.

The establishment of these units is expected to generate new employment opportunities, contributing significantly to Kishtwar’s economic growth and providing livelihood support for local residents.

The meeting was attended by LDM Harsh Rawal, and representatives from RSETI, JKEDI, Polytechnic, JK Bank Cluster Office Kishtwar, as well as delegates from ITI Kishtwar and other stakeholders.
