KFUPM Saudi Arabia Delegation visited IUST, interacted with students

AWANTIPORA: A delegation of Graduate Student Ambassadors from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia today visited Islamic University of Science and Technology and interacted with the graduating students of the varsity.

The event presided over by Prof. Shakil A Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST was organized by the Office of International Affairs IUST under the aegis of Office of the Dean Academic Affairs. KFUPM is one of the best global engineering universities, and ranked 3rd best university in the number of US patents.

The program aimed to acquaint the university students about the full funded scholarships available at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Saudi Arabia, and inform them about the procedures for availing such opportunities, besides engaging in collaborative initiatives.

Prof. Romshoo encouraged students to avail different scholarships and fellowships offered by different global universities and called on the Office of International Affairs to facilitate. He said that such interactive programs provide an opportunity to the students of the varsity to look at broader horizons.

Prof. Manzoor A Malik, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Lily Want (Dean Outreach IUST), and Dr. Monisa Qadri (Officer I/C International Affairs IUST) also addressed the participants of the program. The delegation members Aaqib Ali, Fahad Khan, Raihan Goriya also interacted with the students. Joao Afonso Gunza, one of the International engineering students of IUST conducted the proceedings of the program.
