J&K Pollution Control Committee Conducts Public Hearing Near Mata Mandir (Rei) Tapyal

SAMBA: Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control committee today conducted public hearing for the Environmental Clearance of Minor Mineral (River Bed Material) Block 4/2 Bein River upstream NH1A bridge, Block 4/3 Bein River upstream NH1A bridge and Block 4/4 Bein River Downstream NH1A Samba Near Mata Mandir (Rei) Tapyal, Samba.

 A large number of the people & public Representatives Including DDC Member, BDC Chairman, Sarpanches/Panches of the adjoining Panchayat like Tapyal, Rei,and Raghuchak participated in the proceedings.

During proceedings of public hearing, Deepak Abrol, Divisional Officer, JKPCC, Samba (South) briefed the public about the importance of conducting public hearing & Role of JKPCC. Project consultant from M/s Vitasta Enviro Service Pvt Ltd., Jaipur gave the details about salient features and Environmental impact Assessment (EIA) & Environment management plan of the project.

All the related issues were discussed and queries raised were answered by the project consultant.

Rakesh Dubey, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba and Mohammad Sayeed, District Mineral Officer, Samba also attended the public hearing and addressed the gathering. They assured that all the important issues/ concerns raised by project affected people were   video recorded & will be incorporated in the report to be submitted to Competent Authority.

Narayan Thakur (Field Inspector) JKPCC, Kathua & Draftsman Subash Chander of JKPCC also attended proceeding of the public hearing.
