J&K Govt Announces Portfolios for Newly Appointed Ministers

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday unveiled the portfolio allocation for its newly appointed ministers.

According to a government order issued by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary will manage Public Works (R&B), Industries & Commerce, Mining, Labour & Employment, Development, and Skill Development.

Sakeena Masood (Itoo) will oversee Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare. Javed Ahmed Rana has been assigned responsibility for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs. Javid Ahmad Dar will handle Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election.

Satish Sharma will take charge of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, and ARI & Trainings.

The order further mentions that any departments not specifically allocated will remain under the direct oversight of the Chief Minister.
