Reaffirms commitment of Omar government towards supporting regional artists

JAMMU: As a melodious tribute to regional art and music, a soulful Dogri song “Gall Suni Lai” was released today at a gala event held at Platinum Cinemas, Palm Island Mall, Canal Road, Jammu.

The event brought together eminent personalities, artists and music enthusiasts to celebrate Dogra culture and regional music.

Minister for Tribal Affairs and Forests, Javed Ahmed Rana, who was the chief guest on the occasion lauded the creative team for their commendable efforts in promoting Dogri music and culture. He reaffirmed commitment of Omar Abdullah led Government towards supporting the regional artists and foster cultural initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.

Padma Shri awardee, Balwant Thakur, a prominent cultural icon, who was the guest of honour on the occasion, appreciated the team’s dedication in preserving the rich heritage of Dogra music.

Other distinguished guests included Rakesh Jamwal, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, President of Team Jammu and renowned artist Bunty Cartoonist, who praised the production’s artistic excellence.

The audience was captivated by the stellar performances featured in the music video. The song sung by Sonali Dogra and Sourav Shivalaya, struck a chord with the listeners.

The video featured Surya Divyansh and Shivani Wazir in lead roles, delivering captivating performances that enhanced the song’s visual appeal. Written by lyricist RKT and composed by Musical Mafia and arrangement by Krishan Kumar Johny, the song left a lasting impact on the audience.

The song has been directed by Akash Dogra, Choreographer Divam and Assistant Director Karan played crucial role in ensuring a visually compelling presentation.

Dancers Rashita, Amandeep, Urvashi, Shivani, Japneet, Vishali Manhas, Divam, Karan, Lovish and Lokesh added vibrancy to the production with their energetic performances.

Produced by Neelam Kumari and Varsha Dogra under the banner of Natya Roots Productions, the project exemplifies a deep commitment towards cultural preservation and artistic innovation.

The launch event successfully underscored the growing appreciation for Dogri music and its role in the cultural enrichment of Jammu and Kashmir.
