BARAMULLA: Youth Services and Sports, Baramulla, continues to organize inter-school Wushu, Taekwondo and Yoga competitions across various zones including Sopore, Dangiwacha, Singpora Kalan, and Chandoosa to channel energy of students in positive direction and make them capable to represent J&K in national and international championships.
In Zone Sopore, a two-day Wushu and Taekwondo competition for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls commenced at Subhana Stadium Sopore. Today, the competitions for boys were held, witnessing enthusiastic participation of 60 boys showcasing their skills and competitive spirit.
Meanwhile, Zone Dangiwacha organized inter-school Wushu and Taekwondo competitions for Under-14 and Under-17 girls at the Community Hall Dangiwacha. Around 30 girls actively participated, and the position holders were felicitated with appreciation certificates, encouraging them to pursue excellence in martial arts.
Zone Singpora Kalan hosted Yoga competitions for both boys and girls at High School Singpora Kalan, where a remarkable participation of 150 students was recorded. The students demonstrated various Yoga postures and techniques, highlighting the importance of fitness and mindfulness.
Similarly, Zone Chandoosa conducted an inter-zonal Yoga competition for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls, in which 97 students participated. The competition served as a platform to promote physical well-being among the young students.
