GANDERBAL: The two-days Innovation Boot Camp and workshop organized by the Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) concluded at Tulmulla campus on Friday.
Addressing the valedictory function, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar said, “The objective of the event aligns with the objective of the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 as it focuses on the innovation at the teaching level.”
He encouraged the participants to continue with the spirit and hone their skills acquired from the workshop. He added, “innovation is the key component for the future and development of the country and India being one of such developing countries needs innovation at the educational level.” Prof. Zargar also handed over certificates to the participants.
Expert, Dr. Rahul Z. More, emphasized the importance of blending theoretical knowledge with practical research to drive impactful results. He said, “The innovative ideas we pursue today will shape the technological and societal landscape of tomorrow. It’s vital that participants think creatively and proactively in approaching the challenges of the future.”
Participants in their feedback to the organizers and the Registrar said that an incubation center should be set up in the University where a multidisciplinary approach to the innovations can be delivered.
Dr. Haribhau R. Bhapkar, Head, Deptt of Mathematics and coordinator of the workshop proposed vote of thanks to the participants, organizers, technicians and those associated with the workshop. The workshop was co-coordinated and moderated by Dr. John K Babu, Sr. Assistant Prof. who suggested that the Design and Innovation Centre established in the University should be provided additional human resource and equipped with latest technologies to pursue groundbreaking innovative ideas. Dr. Akhtar Bhat, Assistant Prof. and Insha Mushtaq, scholar were the rapporteurs.
