India-Brazil relations deepened, diversified over years: Jaishankar

NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar today co-chaired the 9th India-Brazil Joint Commission with his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira in New Delhi. At the meeting, both the leaders took stock of bilateral ties, including cooperation in trade, defence, energy, health, agriculture, space and technology.

Jaishankar reiterated India’s full support for Brazil’s G-20 presidency. The summit will be held on November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro.

“Our strategic partnership, which was established in 2006, has deepened and diversified over the years. It now spans a very wide range of domains from defence, space and security,” he said.
