SRINAGAR: Secretary Tourism and Culture, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah Monday said that ahead of the main event of G-20 in Srinagar, the government is mulling to reflect the J&K’s rich cultural diversity by organizing 15-day events in the Union Territory.
Talking to reporters here on the sidelines of the function, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the G-20 Third Working Tourism Group is slated to be held in Srinagar and the public participation is high in every event, being organized as a prelude to the main event.
“Therefore, to reflect J&K’s rich cultural diversity, we have decided to start 15-day events in J&K to give a platform to young talent and promote the cultural diversity here to the entire world,” he said.
He further said that the events being organized will help the young artists to get an opportunity and get a platform as well. “The young artists should get in touch with the cultural academy immediately and we will be happy to help them in this regard,” he added.
Notably, the G-20 meeting is slated to be held in Srinagar between May 22-May 24 while the administration has geared up already to make the event successful.
