SRINAGAR: The Centre for Capacity Building and Skill Development (CCBSD), University of Kashmir, organised a national essay-writing competition on the topic ‘Entrepreneurial Culture in India’ under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsov’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ themes.
The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to encourage young students from the University’s teaching departments to share their ideas on the ‘Entrepreneurial Culture in India’.
50 students took part in the essay competition and the best essay writer will be awarded with a cash prize.
Dr Aadil Bashir, Coordinator of the Centre and Dr Ajaz Ahmad Mir, Consultant, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and other faculty members of the Centre were present on the occasion.
Earlier, on June 5, the Centre organised an extension lecture to highlight various sustainable skill development courses. Dr Aadil welcomed Sudhanshu Jangir, Director, Indian Institute of Sustainability, Gujarat University, who delivered the extension lecture on skill development to the invited students from various departments of the University.
Jangir focused on the significance of skill development in today’s professional landscape and identified areas where the students can focus on for their career development.
