Er Rashid granted 2-day custody parole to attend Parliament

SRINAGAR: The Delhi High Court today granted custody parole of 2 days to Awami Ithehad Party chief and Member of Parliament from north Kashmir Er Rashid.

According to details available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Er Rashid has been granted 2-day custody parole to enable him to attend the Parliament.

The court stated that he is not allowed to use the internet or speak to the media during this period.

Rashid has been in jail since 2019 after he was charged by NIA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in alleged terror funding case. He was elected as the Member of Parliament from the Baramulla constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
