SHOPIAN: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said on Wednesday that students of SKUAST booked under UAPA must be given an opportunity so that their future is not spoiled.
Talking to reporters after a workers meeting at Zainapora Shopian, the former Chief Minister, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that if Modi was laughing when Australia won the ICC World Cup then what is wrong if Kashmir students appreciated Australia for playing good cricket.
She said that UAPA must go and the future of youth must be safeguarded.
“SKAUST students haven’t done anything wrong and still they have been booked under UAPA and action must be taken against the student who has used derogatory language. But all of them must be given single opportunity so as to save their future,” she said
She said that people of Kashmir continue to suffer wrong policies of BJP government and despite having own power, there is no electricity in the Valley.
She said that despite snatching everything from J&K, the BJP continues to have doubts on people of Jammu and Kashmir which shows their insecurity.
