JAMMU: Dr Pawan Kotwal, a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service officer currently posted in Ladakh, has been appointed as advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an order to this effect was issued by B G Krishnan, Director (Services), Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Moreover, Dr Pawan Kotwal, Principal Secretary has been looking after the duties and responsibilities of the Advisor to Lieutenant Governor in the absence of Umang Narula, who is proceeding on leave from May 23–June 5.
The order further reads that the charge of Home Department and Chief Vigilance Officer will be looked after by Dr Kotwal in the absence of Narula.
The incumbent Advisor, Umang Narula has been moved to Delhi for further assignment. Narula was earlier principal secretary of Governor erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir.
He was posted as first advisor to LG Ladakh after reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir and formation of UT Ladakh.
