GANDERBAL: A meeting of District Jal Jeevan Mission (DJJM) Ganderbal was convened today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir in which all the members of DJJM participated.
In this meeting, District Action Plan for augmentation and retrofitting of various water supply schemes (WSSs) in Ganderbal district along with IEC and Water quality monitoring provisions was discussed threadbare.
Executive Engineer Rural Water Supply, Er. SamiullahBeigh briefed the committee about the District Action Plan under JJM, coverage of habitations, support activities, water quality monitoring and surveillance and presented a detailed report on the general abstract of cost for augmentation and retrofitting of various water supply schemes in the district.
He further informed that under this DAP 3362 unconnected households are proposed to be connected by FHTCs and 18571 households shall receive augmented supplies in their existing FHTCs in the district.
After a brief discussion on proposed works for augmentation and retrofitting of various water supply schemes in Ganderbal district, the committee approved the action plan for a cost of Rs. 6677.85 lakh.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Irfan Giri, CEO, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and other members of the committee.
