GANDERBAL: As part of the ongoing Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore campaign, under Good Governance Week, the District Administration Ganderbal today organized a comprehensive workshop at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
The workshop focused on discussing good governance practices and preparing a visionary document for the district’s holistic development, aligned with the goals of Vision 2047.
During the workshop, panelists from the departments deliberated on key areas crucial for the district’s sustainable growth. They shared insights and proposed strategies on a wide range of subjects.
The subjects that were deliberated thoroughly during the workshop included roadmap for achieving 100% literacy in the district by 2047, development of small-scale industries and promoting entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, revival and sustainable management of natural springs and water bodies, developing sustainable irrigation practices for agriculture, promoting eco-tourism as a sustainable livelihood opportunity, transforming Ganderbal into an agricultural innovation hub with focus on organic farming, Social Infrastructure and Healthcare, empowering women and marginalized communities through targeted social schemes.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad while highlighting the purpose of the workshop, emphasized the importance of adopting innovative approaches and community-driven solutions to achieve sustainable development goals. He said that the Vision 2047 document will serve as a blueprint for transforming Ganderbal into a model district that balances development with sustainability.
Highlighting the significance of the ongoing Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore campaign, the ADC directed all departmental representatives to prioritize the prompt and satisfactory resolution of grievances within a stipulated time frame.
The Vision 2047 document will act as a strategic guide for the district administration, with clearly defined goals and actionable steps. It aims to position Ganderbal as a model district excelling in education, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and social equity.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion, where participants shared their perspectives and pledged their commitment to collaboratively working towards the outlined goals.
