KULGAM: A meeting of the District Level RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Advisory Committee was held today at the Mini Secretariat, Kulgam, under the chairmanship of the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Bashir Ahmad Wani.
The committee reviewed the performance of JKBRSETI Kulgam and discussed plans for boosting self-employment and entrepreneurship in the district.
At the outset, Sameer Bhatt, Faculty Member of JKBRSETI Kulgam introduced the members of the committee and presented a comprehensive overview of the institute’s functioning.
His presentation highlighted the critical role played by JKBRSETI in promoting self-employment through various training programs designed to empower individuals, especially in rural areas.
The Director of RSETI Kulgam, who also served as the convener of the meeting, assured all the committee members of continued support and cooperation in fostering entrepreneurship within the district. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to uplift aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthen the district’s economy.
During the meeting, a detailed plan was formulated for the implementation of the UNNATI Scheme, which aims to provide training and opportunities for MGNREGA workers, along with special programs focused on skills development for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
The meeting was attended by CPO, ACP, LDM, Principal ITI, Principal KVK, KVIC, Principal polytechnic College, officers from RDD, DPM-NRLM and other officers.
