UDHAMPUR: To foster a corruption-free society, the District Administration Udhampur on Saturday observed International Anti-Corruption Day.
The event, graced by Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai as the chief guest, commenced with the formal flagging off of a rally from the DC Office Complex. The rally traversed through Slathia Chowk, Court Road, Ramnagar Chowk, Gole Market, Bus Stand, and culminated at Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Govt. Model Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Deputy District Election Officer Gurdev Kumar, Tehsildar Head Quarter Arushi Sabharwal, and various officers from different departments, along with students and staff members of educational institutions.
While briefing the media, DC emphasized the significance of creating awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption on society. She expressed the hope that such initiatives would motivate people to choose a path of integrity, contributing to the vision of a corruption-free India.
The DC extended gratitude to all participants and urged collective efforts in eradicating corruption from the roots.
