District admin launches Kishtwar Music Club to nurture budding Artists

KISHTWAR: In a landmark initiative, District Administration Kishtwar launched Music Club, dedicated to nurture young and budding artists of the district here today. The Club has been established by District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with the School Education Department.

Dr Devansh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, unveiled the club in the presence of Chief Education Officer   Prahlad Bhagat and Dy CEO, Masood Qazi.

Strategically located inside the premises of City Middle School Kishtwar, the club aims to provide a platform to facilitate artistic expression and collaboration.

Notable attendees included Music Master, Sugam Sangeet Academy, Mentor of Samridhi Sen, Sanjeev Sharma, IC Cultural Cell Awani Sen from the Education Department and Gulab Saifi from the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages.

The construction of Kishtwar Music Club was made possible under the District Mineral Fund Trust of District Administration Kishtwar spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav.

The musical instruments were donated by Patel Engineering Pvt Ltd under CSR 2023-24.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav highlighted the pivotal role the Kishtwar Music Club is set to play in nurturing and harnessing the abundant music talent within Kishtwar.

Emphasizing the significance of this groundbreaking initiative, Dr Devansh Yadav conveyed that the club is designed to serve as a crucial platform for aspiring musicians, providing them with a conducive environment to hone their skills and showcase their artistic prowess.

To facilitate maximum participation, the Deputy Commissioner announced that music classes at the Kishtwar Music Club will be conducted to ensure accessibility for enthusiasts of all ages.

Additionally, recognizing the importance of practice sessions in skill development, he conveyed that dedicated sessions will be allocated for musicians to refine their craft and collaborate with fellow artists.

Dr Devansh Yadav expressed optimism that the club’s strategic location within the premises of City Middle School Kishtwar, near the ZEO office Kishtwar and Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kishtwar will encourage widespread engagement. By organizing structured music classes and practice sessions, the Kishtwar Music Club aims to not only elevate the cultural landscape of the region but also foster a vibrant community of musicians contributing to the artistic vibrancy of Kishtwar.
