SRINAGAR: Department of Agriculture considered to be one of the pivotal departments of modern India is headless in Kashmir Valley for the past two days now.
On November 30 Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhary superannuated as Director Agriculture Kashmir and ironically the government did not appoint the new Director well on time for the reasons best known to them. It will be in place to mention that a committee has been formed to appoint the new Director Agriculture Kashmir but no decision has been taken so far.
It will be in place to mention that Iqbal superannuated on November 30 after serving his normal term as Director and also couple of extensions. It is learnt that he is vying for the third extension and as such confusion looms large.
