SRINAGAR: Director National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, Prof. Sudhakar Yedla on Wednesday called upon the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at Rajbhawan in Srinagar during her two-day official visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
President Murmu arrived in Srinagar on 11th October as part of her two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. She attended the 20th convocation of University of Kashmir at Srinagar on Wednesday.
Later in the evening, Prof. Yedla called upon the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at Rajbhawan Srinagar. The meeting covered a wide range of topics, with a primary focus on the role of NIT Srinagar in promoting technical education and research in the region.
Prof. Sudhakar Yedla highlighted the institute’s achievements, academic activities, research projects, and initiatives aimed at nurturing local talent and fostering technological innovation.
President Murmu lauded the efforts of NIT Srinagar in providing quality education and research opportunities, emphasizing their vital role in the region’s development.
She also expressed her keen interest in visiting NIT Srinagar campus in near future, underscoring her commitment to promoting education and research in the region.
