Director Agriculture visits S.M Farm Tapper Kreeri

SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited seed multiplication farm Tapper Kreeri and took stock of various agriculture activities there. Director inspected different blocks, hi-tech poly houses at the farm and discussed various innovative interventions and technologies adopted at the farm.

Speaking on the occasion, the director expressed satisfaction over the transformation of the farm and appreciated the concerned officers for their role in the successful implementation of different modern technologies.

The director said that the S.M Farm Tapper is becoming a model farm so far as seed multiplication of different vegetable crops is concerned. He said this farm is one of the most productive vegetable farms in the UT of J&K.

Director Agriculture asked the concerned officers to strategize the cultivation operations in an environment friendly manner with minimum stress on natural resources.

Earlier, farm Manager S.M. Farm Tapper charan Gurdev Singh gave a detailed presentation of various agriculture activities at the farm. He also informed the Director regarding the new technologies that have been adopted during the cultivation of present crops for the first time at the farm.
