SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today conducted an extensive visit of district Kupwara and chaired a review meeting with officers and officials of the district.
The review meeting was aimed to evaluate the physical and financial progress on the ongoing projects under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
Addressing the meeting, Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of different projects under (HADP). He said the project under HADP have been designed in such a way that the small and marginal farmers could establish their own agriculture income based units.
He acknowledged the significance of awareness among the farming community and asked the officers to sensitize and encourage the framers to avail benefits of various projects under (HADP). He impressed upon the officers to put in all the efforts and ensure that all the set targets under different projects of (HADP) are achieved in a time-bound manner.
Director agriculture asked the officers of agriculture and allied departments to work in a coordinated manner for the successful implementation of HADP.
Later, the Director visited agriculture complex Sopore and held interaction with the concerned officers. He asked the officers to ensure the saturation under different schemes including PMKISAN.
Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, SDAO Kupwara, Tangdar, AEOs and other officers of the district were present in the meeting.
