Digitisation of revenue documents to be completed in a time bound manner: DC B’pora

BANDIPORA: In order to review the functioning of Revenue Department to ensure efficient, effective and prompt public service delivery system in the district, a meeting of all Revenue Officers of the District Bandipora was today held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed, here.

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues related to preparation of Jamabandies, Girdawaries, digitization, migrant grievance disposal, eviction of kahcharai and state land besides other issues.

The meeting was informed that 99 percent scanning work for digitization of revenue records has been completed in the district and training has been provided to patwaris, GQs, NTs and Tehsildars for updation of jamabandis.

While appreciating the efforts of patwaris in revenue matters, Dr. Owais urged them to work with extra zeal to complete the pending work of digitization within stipulated time.

He directed them to adopt a zero tolerance approach in order to safeguard State/Kahcharai land from land grabbers, besides ensuring hassle free public delivery system in the district.

He asked the tehsildars to use the service of CSC operators for early completion of digitization in order to ensure timely issuance of land passbooks as per target. 

While reviewing the status of pending Civil court cases, the DC was apprised that out of 156 cases, reply has been filed for 101 cases.

Dr. Owais instructed the concerned  to ensure speedy disposal of revenue court cases.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Waseem Raja, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora Parvaiz Rahim, SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris besides other revenue officials.
