DEO Reasi reviews Election preparedness

REASI: District Election Officer (DEO) Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today chaired a crucial meeting with the designated Nodal Officers of the district to discuss preparedness plan for upcoming Assembly Elections.

DEO Vishesh Mahajan emphasized the importance of mobilizing resources and manpower to facilitate a seamless electoral process. He directed all Nodal Officers to familiarize themselves with the latest guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The DEO also stressed the importance of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at polling stations and instructed the Chief Education Officer to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place. In addition, a comprehensive review of various logistical aspects, including the organization of training sessions, law and order maintenance, coordination for the movement of polling parties, EVM training and transport management systems.

DEO Mahajan urged the officers to continue their diligent efforts to uphold the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in Reasi district.

The meeting was attended by key officials including ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Kulbhushan Khajuria (Nodal Officer for MCC), Addl. SP Iftekhar Ahmed, PO Poshan Mohammad Anwar Banday (Nodal Officer for Training), ACD Pardeep Kumar (Nodal Officer for Logistics), Dy. DEO Rakesh Kumar, DIO Nasir Ahmed (Nodal Officer for MCMC), and other designated Nodal Officers.
