JJM projects shall benefit hundreds of HHs; ensure time bound completion of works: Faz Lul Haseeb
SHOPIAN: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today visited Doomwani and Supersuman, Berthipora and took first hand appraisal of various ongoing projects being executed under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
During the visit, DDC inspected Allowpora Water Supply Scheme (WSS) at Doomwani and Supersuman Water Supply Scheme at Berthipora being executed under JJM at an estimated cost of Rs.495 lacs and Rs.383.88 lacs respectively.
It was revealed that these two water supply schemes will benefit hundreds of households in the area including the whole population of Transit Accommodation Allowpora.
DDC directed for speedy and early completion of these schemes with instant restoration of road cuts wherever required.
He exhorted upon the executing agency to gear up its men and machinery for ensuring its completion within timelines.
DDC asserted upon stakeholders that village communities must be sensitised to develop a sense of ownership of these projects, once completed, for sustainability of projects.
DDC was accompanied by Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, AEEs, JEs and other concerned.
