SHOPIAN: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited Zainpora and Chitragam area of the district to inspect the development works of Shopian-Chitragam Zainpora Road.
During the visit, the DDC inspected the ongoing works of the road, and expressed his satisfaction over the progress of the works including macadimization and widening work.
He while interacting with Ex. Engineer R&B Shopian and engineering staff, instructed them to continue to work tirelessly so that the road is completed in the ensuing year during the ongoing season.
Vaishya directed the R&B, executing agency for the project, to complete the work of macadamization within the shortest possible time frame.
He also directed concerned authorities of Revenue and R&B to remove encroachments immediately alongside the road, so that widening in those spots is taken up expeditiously.
Ex. Engineer and other concerned officials of departments accompanied the DDC.
